Higher Education Projects

Grupe Conference Center
Interior architecture services for this small, 100 seat campus conference center included a remodeled kitchen and restrooms, new furnishings, lighting and finishes. The project included redesign of interior elements to fit with the 1950's style conference center.
Hutchinson Hall
The scope of work included design for a new exterior exit stair, refinishing of the gymnasium floor, and renovation of the inteiror studios and offices. The renovation work was done after-hours to avoid hindering use of the spaces by the UW Drama School during the day.
Penthouse Theatre
The initial work included the selection of a moving method and route, plans for disassembly and reassembly, programming with the School of Drama, site design and cost estimates. New elements for the historic theatre included a new 7,000 s. ft. basement addition, interior restoration, a rear terrace and forecourt, and perimeter landscaping.
UW Architecture Hall
Special care was taken to integrate new mechanical, electrical, and rated exiting corridor systems with the building's historic character. The design for the architectural educational facility provides a clear distinction between the original historic walls and new enclosures as a physical lesson for students.
Steam Plant Addition
The scope of the project included design of the building exterior, material selections, cost estimation and presentations to the University Architectural Commission. The design incorporates a simple, bold, industrial steel frame facade in an effort to recognize the functional quality of the boiler piping and venting within the building.
