Koppe Wagoner Architects is a firm founded on the combined forty-five years experience of Bob Wagoner and John Koppe completing publicly visible community projects in the Northwest. The firm’s expertise included community based public projects in the areas of library facilities, community centers, conference centers, college and university facilities and day care centers.
Design and planning of public facilities has been a focus of Firm Principal Bob Wagoner for the past three decades in the Pacific Northwest, focusing on historic preservation and have completed over thirty projects on Federal or local historic registers. Bob served on the Pioneer Square Historic Preservation Board for five years and has served as a mayoral appointed member of the Pioneer Square Preservation Board in Seattle.
Principal John Koppe has a broad background, including planning for low cost and elderly housing, public projects, higher education, retail shell and tenant improvement work, country club and yacht club projects, as well as residential design. John has completed over sixty residential projects ranging from frugal to highly detailed and crafted new residences.
The firm’s work is characterized by a balanced approach to architecture with emphasis on all follow-through on project design phase scheduling. The firm principals work with clients in a colloquial fashion: with the Owner as member of the larger design team. Firm project leaders are good listeners and are respectful of design and project administration issues raised by those involved.
The firm principals’ work has received local and national recognition on their past projects. Their buildings have included a high level of design attention from early planning and conceptual stages, to design detailing and solving on-site construction problems.
