Residential Design Philosophy

Koppe Wagoner Architects provides a broad range of design experience and skill, with interests in both renovation of older buildings, as well as contemporary Northwest design. Our philosophy is based on a client specific and site sensitive response to each and every design opportunity. We listen closely to our clients, developing relationships fundamental to evolving appropriate design.

We strongly believe communication and teamwork are crucial to the success of the architectural design and construction process. The resulting project should reflect the dreams and design goals of the client, be responsive to project budget, and from this process, the design inspiration for each individual project evolves. We want the design process to be both a meaningful and enjoyable experience for both client and architect.

Both principals John Koppe and Bob Wagoner have extensive first hand experience in residential construction and view good residential architecture as the unification of craft and an artistic sense of space, light and form. We find teamwork of architect and artisan results in the best solutions, making use of their unique talents and experience.

Koppe Wagoner Architects is a small firm with a staff of eight. In every project, principals remain intimately involved from concept through construction to assure the highest quality design and service. In the end, our measure of success is our client’s satisfaction with their home.
